After cold spells like most of the country as experienced lately, many components used to keep your pool running correctly can sustain damage. This unfortunately happens every year. While things can be done to protect these parts prior to the event, I am not going to cover that today.
I am going to discuss what you can do to fix the items that may have been damaged. Most components of your pool system are made of different grades of plastic. Some fare better than others, but inevitably many get damaged. The first thing to look for are visible leaks. Typically these occur in the piping and valves that are either above ground or buried underground but close to the top.
Pumps: The most common damage to pumps occur with the pump housing. Typically you will find the following types of parts the most common that are damaged
Filters: Usually either the filter top or bottom is damaged, like these parts

Valves: You will see water leaking from these and luckily are the least expensive to fix. You have to find the correct parts which is difficult. We are happy to assist you, just give us a call on the phone and we will do our best - 954-613-2777
Bottom line, parts get damaged during the winter, give us a call and we will do our best to help you find the right parts at the lowest cost to fix any damage that may have occurred.
